Frisof/Pesca Duo
Sarah Frisof has a seventeen-year duo partnership with pianist and composer Daniel Pesca (The Eastman School of Music). Together, Dr. Pesca and Dr. Frisof have performed over forty recitals, at venues such as the Interlochen Center for the Arts, the Arts Club of Washington, and universities, conservatories, and conferences across the country. Mr. Pesca and Ms. Frisof are known for their natural and effortless ensemble, as described recently by Gramophone Magazine. “ Flautist Sarah Frisof and pianist Daniel Pesca not only play impeccably but phrase and breathe as one clairvoyant entity.” Their recording of the music of Joseph Schwantner was released on Centaur Records in July 2016, to critical acclaim. Their second CD, a cross-section of works by female composers of the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries was released on August 28, 2020.
